Elsa's First Birthday (July 14 2003)

We had a pretty quiet birthday for Elsa, just her, Jay, me, and Grandpa Jim. Elsa had some yummy birthday apple pie instead of the usual cake, which she liked a lot! Of course, we learned that you shouldn't give a 1 yeard old pie right before bed - she woke up with a major sugar rush in the middle of the night and couldn't sleep for a while.

In keeping with the usual family tradition, we hada tray of items representing careers for her to pick from. She picked the wire wisk, which happened to be the one closest to her. So I guess she will be a good cook!
